Through movement, play, and open discussions, we are building a world where every person can live and leave without regrets.
In our pursuit of meaning in life, we often feel stuck because we don’t see the options in front of us. The choices we do see can feel expensive, risky, or perhaps, they are just not things you want. At Split, we believe that through physical movement, play, and open conversations, you can mentally and emotionally unlock new perspectives and explore possibilities for yourself. You can then begin discovering your unique place in this world.
“How can I live without regrets?” If this is a question you want answered, join us for Beginners Arena and The First Arena.

Our Programme Methodology
What is your interpretation of this world?
“… relationships are built upon layers and layers of interpretation. No interpretation is completely true or false, but there are interpretations we like and don’t like. Maybe some of us haven’t found many interpretations that we like, so we keep silent to avoid interpretations that are undesirable to us. But the only way to know if there are interpretations that resonate deeply with us out there is to keep speaking, mumbling, and sputtering clumsily with everyone and everything we meet.”
Our What-Why-How Learning Framework
This framework helps you understand how your body speaks.
During each activity, we urge participants to think about these three types of questions. Upon making a new choice after Step 3, we’ll return to Step 1 to continue our journey of experiencing, reflecting, moving, and choosing.
Start creating arenas today.
There is a recommended number of sessions to complete for each Arena before moving on to the next. You may want to follow our recommendations to get the most out of your experience. Please also take note of the prerequisites and required commitment for some of the more advanced arenas.
-
Prerequisites: None
Recommendation: 1 Session x 1.5 hours
Required Commitment: Nil
Participants will get to experience a few new combinations of physiological and mental states while engaging in 2-3 movement and play activities. Post-activity discussions will be heavily scaffolded to ease participants into the process of self-reflection.
-
Prerequisites: None
Recommendation: 5 Sessions x 3 hours
Required Commitment: Nil
Participants will get to experience even more combinations of mental and physiological states, and they will begin to notice certain specific behavioural or thought patterns that they have. They will get the opportunity to make specific and personal choices for themselves, so that they will learn to move and play with specificity and intentionality.
-
Prerequisites: Completion of at least five sessions from The First Arena
Recommendation: 5 Sessions x 3 hours
Required Commitment: At least the final two sessions leading up to the movement and play event, and of course, the movement and play event itself
Participants will regularly work with various partners for this Arena. The combinations of physiological and mental states get more complex when we take into account other people in our environment. How then can we make sensitive and careful choices, knowing that our decisions will affect others in the space?
The Second Arena will conclude with an invite-only movement and play event that allows participants to move and play with invited friends. How then can participants continue making sensitive and careful choices during the event?
-
Prerequisites: Completion of at least five sessions from The First Arena
Recommendation: 5 Sessions x 3 hours
Required Commitment: Nil
Participants will learn to move and play in exceptional ways. The key here is to try out different ways to use our bodies: forward rolls, backward rolls, handstands, baby freezes, headstands etc may be a part of the work. We will also be expanding the range of our voices. Please note that this Arena is not about learning new skills but about discovering how one learns those skills. The difference is subtle but huge! We will also be using techniques learnt in The First Arena for our purposes here, so this is not a gymnastics or a singing class. We are still very much into movement, play, and self-exploration through our imagination and group discussions. We are expanding our physiological and mental awareness here, so that we can access even more combinations of states and increase the frequency at which we learn and discover more choices for ourselves.
-
Prerequisites: Completion of at least five sessions from The First Arena
Recommendation: 5 Sessions x 3 hours
Required Commitment: Nil
Participants will work with archetypal roles recognisable in Singaopre. That can be a Grab delivery person, a teacher, a sergeant major, an insurance agent, or a kiasu mother - the list goes on. Through movement and play, participants will get the opportunity to personalise their chosen archetypes and challenge prevailing beliefs about them. For this Arena, we are confronting social roles and structures. In so doing, we can creating possibilities at the level of our values and beliefs. How can we uncover even more choices for ourselves as we explore the multiple facets of our values and beliefs?
-
Prerequisites: Completion of at least five sessions from The First Arena and five sessions from The Fourth Arena
Recommendation: 10 Sessions x 3 hours
Required Commitment: At least the final five sessions leading up to the series of movement and play events, as well as the events themselves
Through movement and play, participants will explore the relational possibilities of their personalised archetypes. Participants will finally work together to organise a movement and play event. The organised event will run for at least 2 to 3 iterations. This Arena helps participants to integrate and deepen all their learnings from the preceding Arenas.
-
Prerequisites: By invitation only. Participants would have preferably gone through The First Arena (5 sessions), The Fourth Arena (5 sessions), and The Fifth Arena (5 sessions)
Duration: To be arranged with invited participants
Required Commitment: As arranged
Detailed agenda will be confirmed with invited participants. Participants will organise a series of movement and play events, and a stipend will be provided. Feel free to reach out if you wish to be considered for The Summit. Over time, we hope that our movement and play events can become microcosms of our envisioned society, where every peron can live and leave withot regrets.
