I’m Always With You - a response to Haresh Sharma’s Sea
Dates of Performance: 8th-9th July 2022
Venue: Aliwal Arts Centre
Synopsis: 8 actors find themselves on a boat. A cacophony of stories, songs, and movement emerges. Will you ride the wave with me? Will you promise to be here? A trace right there - it disappears. Peace, be still. Watch how each of our eight Singaporean archetypes navigate their world - holding on tightly to who they think they are, while gradually letting go of their self-importance as they relate to another.

Lee Shu Yu’s Experience [she/her] - a performance review
In all, I’m Always With You is an experience that is shrouded in discomfort and intrigue, but it is also beautiful in its composition, showcasing the best of the ensemble’s teamwork, training and playfulness.
Ci Xuan’s Experience [she/her]
Meet my mop!
Sreya Sanyal’s Experience [she/her]
The current score I’m presenting is a manifestation of that grief, of having things in my possession, and watching them slip out of my fingers like sand.
Cheri Hu’s Experience [she/her]
In the twenty-something years of living, I have collected enough memories to fill up the sea. I happened to get on a boat that was going to sail through these waters. Destination: Unknown.
Fadhil Daud’s Experience [he/him]
I think I’m doing it? I honestly don’t know. So many ‘I don’t knows’ but also… that was a nice moment, I think. I don’t know.
Christine Talitha’s Experience [she/her]
Small grunts become loud exhales, a pointed finger becomes a smeared hand of…whatever the person was thinking of.
Georgia Sim’s Experience [she/her]
Small grunts become loud exhales, a pointed finger becomes a smeared hand of…whatever the person was thinking of.
Xin Rui’s Experience [he/him]
The more I engage with the process, the more difficult it seems to get.
Mabel’s Experience [she/her]
The first time I allowed myself to let go, I was confused. I had fallen but I was not hurt.
Damien Ng Wei Jie’s Experience [he/him]
Overall, I learnt that I need to be open to being taken in the moments and even though I’m not there yet at least I’m aware of it. And that is important. It is a work in process and that is fine.
Clement Yeo’s Experience [he/him]
I dont have an answer at all.
Darryl’s Experience [he/him]
One valuable thing that I’ve learnt from this experience is to stop trying to do things for people.
